A New Year With New Options

The holidays are over, the season has changed and an excitement for 2018 has emerged. We here at Local Travel Excursions have been excited with all of the changes last year and the new services that we are now able to offer. A big thank you to our wonderful clients who have supported us and spread the word about what we are up to. The changes in the immigration laws here in Panama allowed us to develop new ways to assist those in need, turning initial challenging situations into those of relief for many families. Now we prepare for Carnival! Panama City, Las Tablas, David and Bocas del Toro. Will you be participating in any of the festive activities? Local Travel Excursions is venturing out to Bocas to experience the tropical vibe during this annual celebration. .
Another big change for us is our delivery of individual relocation tours. We receive regular requests for intimate tours for couples and families considering a move to Panama; primarily Chiriqui. This allows for more individual attention and the opportunity to focus on only what is important to each client. Although our roots are in large group tours, we find the smaller groups really appreciate the personal attention and the ability to veer off the scheduled plan when desired. However, both large and small relocation group tours offer significant benefits to those exploring a possible new home. Whichever the preference, Local Travel Excursions is happy to customize your relocation experience.
Another great addition are our expat interviews. We have finally answered the many requests to share the experiences of our clients. We will periodically post what our clients have experienced with our company as well as their experiences here in Panama. Many other companies tout how wonderful Panama is and refer to it as "paradise." While we love Panama and find that it meets our needs, we know that it is not for everyone. Our honest revelations about this country and our ability to deliver the "real Panama" to our clients always proves to be beneficial weather the decision is to move here or not. The challenges here in Panama are very real for most and the choice to accept them should be that of the client, not that of the tour company. Oftentimes companies are dishonest and tout that they do not benefit financially from any recommendations when careful research proves otherwise. Hear for yourself from some who have made the move, or decided not to. Our first expat interview will be featured next month.
So, although in some respects it's business as usual, we are excited about some new happenings here at Local Travel Excursions. And...we extend a heartfelt thank you to all of those who have selected us to assist in their relocation decision. We look forward to both our large and small groups who want to tour or host an event here in Panama. 2018 is well on its way, and so are we. Will you join us?
